When did the movie Kingdom of Heaven come out? Was there any controversy over it!
Question: Yes there was a ton of controversy surrounding it. I agree that people need to calm down and learn to distinguish fact from fiction. It was based on real events and people, but there was alot of artistic license involved as well. The Muslims were actually portrayed in a positive light whereas they could have been shown as jerks the entire time, and the Christians were not but they brought it upon themselves by their actions when the Crusades actually happened.

it was released in 2005. I saw the advanced screening of it, and thought that it was cool. I also bought it when it came out to dvd. It's an awesome movie.
