That movie rocks! I love mob flicks, and The Departed is one of the best: acting, storylines, plot twists, and blood-n-guts.
I think it's classic material: Departed, go sit over by Godfather and make nice.
I thought it was really depressing - Leonardo Di Caprio's character went through so much just to be shot at the end. Nice that his death was avenged but it seemed like his character was really used throughout the film.

Man! They were passing out copper-coated candy all through that movie!! Another great mob like movie that had lots of shooting is Brother, it is about the Yakuza, awesome film.
dude, they were passing out bullets like candy @ halloween in that movie.... I was actually impressed to see mark walberg "pop some caps". :D Overall tho Jack Nicholoson did the best acting in that movie at least in my opinion.
