What did you think of the move American Gangster?!

Question: It was a good portrait of how the mob, coupled with rampant police corruption, fueled the New York drug trade in the late 60's to early 70's. Very graphic on all fronts with some good acting by Washington and Crowe.

is it like a dance move or something?

ok

that denzel is a badass!

i liked that movie. i thought it was a fascinating insite. but i never got to finish it. how did it end? (i dont recall any characters names....)

i thought it was great. not too much action, but thats ok for a gangster movie

Below average movie with nothing to keep you interested. It should be great but it isn't. I at least expected some good acting from Russel Crowe, but he just played a goodie goodie dweeb. And the whole Denzel is the king gangster wasn't convincing either, he looks more like a black business man than a mobster.

Can be divided in two. The movie was excellent in many aspect and Denzel Washington is one of my favorite actors. Then on the other side you have the story, is just a person who ends up getting into illegal bussines and then become obsese about the money he was making and lost completely control of what he was doing, the lack of self-control and the obsession made his career as a gangster come to an end very fast.
