yea movies go thru a run of the same thing, like for a year you will have all police moives, Die hard, leathal weapon, etc, then the next year will be horror movies, scream, i know what you did, and etc, then the next year will be space movies, Armageddon, deep impact, independance day, space movies will come back around, but right now this year has been the year for kidsmovies, shreck 3, enchanted, mr mogoriams,

When they are made they are in a b movie scale because they are not "realistic" at this point. Wait three years and we will get back into a space theme in movies
those movies were made when space was the next frontier and was a big thing... everyone was thinking about aliens and faster-than-light spaceships
today not too much is happening with space. ppl are like okay, its out there, its big, its cool, but why do i care?
thats why there r much more movies on terrorism today cuz its such a big issue...only when it seems like we can actually get a man on mars will they make more space movies

the movie men try to "predict" what will sell 2 years in advance or more. Takes that long to make a cheaper movie. What sells will be produced. Problem is they are chicken s888l. They would rather make sequel number 8 to a boring movie for a little money then take a chance on a win or loss movie.
