Same here. It looked like they were going for some sort of Willy Wonka thing. But they forgot to make us care about anyone there, or have anything really flow logically. If they had made the accountant slowly progress, or had Mahoney realize that her real music was the magic in running the store, or given the kid a real friend, maybe, it would have made more sense. But they threw things at us and then just told us that everything was solved. But my daughter liked it. Didn't love it, just liked it.
I love Dustin Hoffman and I love kids movies so I will see it. My kids might be bored.
