Question: Oh, yes, especially with the kids. (My stepsons, nieces and nephews) When TV was introduced, it was being advertised as the "perfect family activity." Images were all over of happy families watching TV. When VCRs came out in the 70s (I bought my first one in 1980) families were able to see movies all together.
I have always shown my kids movies that I loved when I was their ages, and not surprisingly, they love those movies, too!
