I don't like it the first time I saw it. I don't know why, but this happen on some other Zemeckis' movie that I saw.
Then I watched it on DVD and it start to grow on me. I began to appreciate the feeling of loneliness the filmmaker create and their simplistic approach (although there is nothing simple about that movie at all - in the Red Square scene they had to digitally alter a boy's eye because he keeps staring at the camera).
I really appreciate the lack of music in the movie, because once the score music start to play, it only pronounces the bittersweet and haunting feeling of the movie. What a score.
So... yeah. It's not the best movie ever for me, but I really enjoyed it over the years (I've seen it a few times already, and planning to watch it again in the future), and well... I admit I often laugh when some people refer it as the "two hour FedEx commercial" but as you might know, FedEx never really pay them a dime.
