Now if Steve McQueen had played that part??????????????!

Question: I just had to laugh...watching Clive Owen in `Derailed`....because he played it like a creep. I sat there imagining what someone like Steve McQueen could and would have done with a part like that. The furtive looks...the wry smile....tonguing his teeth...rubbing his ear.....

Helps to make the actress look good. Sure, Faye Dunaway was untouchable in `The Thomas Crown Affair` but Natalie Wood was no actress. And in anything that she did with Steve McQueen she came off well.

Jennifer Aniston who really is a superb actress needs all the help she can get to allow her to work those talents. When she`s on, she is terrific. But she needs someone to play against; and sadly, Clive Owen simply made the quips and playfulness appear cheap/available.

So much for twenty-first century filmstars.

Steve McQueen was just great. Bullet is just a classic film and as for the Great Escape well there will never be anyone like him. Although Paul Newman is good and when they started together in film they were just brilliant

Steve McQueen was lovely.

Steve made anyone look good. Not bad for a kid from a reform school? Nobody has come anywhere near him. Known as the King of Cool - he sure was.
21st century films have been rubbish so far.

I still want to be Steve McQueen when I grow up.
