Pertaining Jack Nicholson movies...?!
Question: I saw bits of "Easy Rider" late last night, and it dawned on me that in many of Jack's films, the character he plays either goes insane, is insane, or is killed at some point in the movie. Granted, this happens to many characters, but it seems to be Nicholson's forte' for some reason. Do you have a favorite Jack Nicholson movie? Please tell me which one(s) and explain why. Or, do you not like Nicholson? Just explain why if you can. I am curious to peoples' opinions regarding this actor. Thanks...

I think JN is a solid and impressive actor. Yes, very few do insane as well but he is open to all kinds of characters. In his early films, such as Carnal Knowledge he could play normal characters but his forte has always been the off kilter kind. He is an actor in the Spencer Tracey, Gene Hackman, Michael Caine mold. Able to do roles that at first would not seem to fit him but he pulls them off with flourish and style. I always point to Batman to make my point. Whoever would have thought he would be able to play the Joker? And he was great.
He's a really nice guy. I worked on his house and he's not insane. Well not too much!
One flew over the cuckoo's nest amazing love that movie and the The Departed is also great he can do so much as an actor plus he loves basketball so he must be amazing in real life then
