Why is English the last language on harry potty DVD?!
Question: I brought Harry Potty and the Order of the pheonix last week. When we went to watch it, we, as usual had to select language, only we could not find English, then we discovered that it was at the very end of the list, which was 3 pages long.
As English is a common language amongst the world, why was it last?
All my other DVD's (not just Harry Potty) have English as the first language. Is English no longer THE language?
I brought the DVD from Asda.

That's what we used to tell our youngest when she asked why her name also comes last (in Xmas cards etc).
It is pretty bad on a British film though isn't it.
What language does it play if you just select "play film"?

I have a couple of dvds like that. It is because its alphabetical. United Kingdom is on the last page
Get used to it! Why do I need to select a language period? Even going to an atm, I have to choose a language and ENGLISH is second choice. What the HE**?
Dunno, why did Hellary vote to abolish english as the national language of the USA? People do stupid things.
I dunno, but you can just click on 'Australian' and it works fine. :)

I know that is weird! In most DVD's I buy its already set as in English but once when I bought Mean Girls ((luv that movie!)) I couldn't find English It was like your video....
I asked my daddy he said its probably in alphabetical order

because Harry Potty sounds like some porn film. and who knows what kind of subtitles are needed for that.
Relax, it didn't kill you did it. We have a reputation for being ignorant about our language saying everyone should learn it. Come one it hurts you a lot less by switching two pages then it will millions of people learning a whole new language.

I think it depends on which region you buy it from. Obviously if you buy it here in the US it will be the primary, next is french and spanish. So if you came from a different region. And yes DVDs have regional coding then that primary language will be selected. Lucky you, it doesn't come out here in the US until Dec 13th. But luckily I have my sources so I was able to obtain a copy.
Probably because those who don't speak the language rarely make it that far down the list!
Why is English the last language.....simple! Because they save the best for last lol
Don't you think the Austrailian's speak English then? That's the first on the list, so select that.
