Yes, it does exist. I saw The Notebook just 2 weeks after my mother died and cried like a baby. It reminded of the wonderful 34-year marriage she and my dad had before she died. My dad was by her side when she died. They had tough times, but always managed to work them out and stick together.

i think it's a great movie and love like that does exist but it is very very hard to find...anyone that finds love like that is extremely lucky

I have only seen bits and pieces of the movie, mostly because I really dont like it much. But overall, I dont think that any love that is depected in movies can be compared to love in real life. You cant hold love to the expectation that is created in movies, in movies love can be an amazing emotion that lasts forever, is eternal, and always beautiful, but then again it all plays out in an hour and a half and then you just assum they stay in love and live happily ever after after that. Human relationships in real life are far too complicatex and varied for it to be like Hollywood love. Some films do depect a more down to earth and realistic sort of love, but useually when you find yourself asking if its possible, then it probably isnt.
I love the Notebook. was an excellent movie. And yes I do believe love like that exists...it is rare in today's day and age but its out there.
