These Zombie Movies weren't created for no reason...so I wanted to know if..!

There were beliefs in the dead coming back to life. But the term and def of Zombie didn't even come about until something in say the mid to late 1900's. Though it may have exsisted in some small parts of the world.
If you have seen 28 Days Later, there are some things that are causeing that scenerio in animals/people. Some people consider those "Zombies".
The behavior of some Zombies mimics that of some illnesses. For example: There is footage from around the turn of the Century [The one where it switched from 1800's to 1900's, I don't know why I keep doing that,.. we are nearly 8 years into this one] of something being consumed by a community that evidence suggest was consumed in Salem (you know where the Witch trials took place). In one of the footage a dog was viciously attacking it's sellf and spinning. It was actting like in a rage and even damageing it's self seriously. It finally bashed it's self into a wall until it was unconcious.. only to wake up and attack it's self more. The humans weren't much better and in a state fo confusion and rage couldn't tell the different between, live, friendly, and food,.. so they could start eatting live things. This all is from a tiny black fungus that fills slots in wheat plants.
There were some illnesses in the late 1800's that would destroy the thinking parts of the brain first. As a result people would shuffle about in a state that you may be use to seeing from slow Zombies. They could be fed but their thinking/thoughts and memories faded away to leave them with basics " Food. Pee. Wet." This was a horrible Epidemic that people were terrorified of,.... as a result people would instantly turn and run if they saw people like this and abandon people in towns effected,.. refuseing to bring in food and supplies. They would want to quarenteen them if you will. For some it was because they knew the illness might spread, for most it was a sense that this was a super natural monster state spreading, like Vampirism or how Zombies come to be in movies.
It was very true though in some cases.. if they were to start trying to eat you or fight you (bite and scratch), you could get infected as well. With these Epedemics the last thing to go would be motor skills and movement.. so even if your brain was mush, you'd still be alive and your body would be moving around.
Haha. To answer your question, there are no such things as zombies and never were, there was a virus but is all it did was kill them and it was supposed to kill them and make them come back but that's just hollywood for ya. Hah.
No, I'm pretty sure they don't or didn't exist. But hey, who knows. . .
In the religion of VOODOO, zombies exist and can routinely be summoned by the Voodoo priest.
