I need SERIOUS Harry Potter fans!?!

Question: REALLY. How'd you feel about Snape and Lily? It was really heartbreaking, but I just couldn't shake that he was Snape...I couldn't see him in a lighter sense. I'm also THRILLED that Ron and Hermione finally expressed their love. They're an amazing match. Very adorable. The one thing that hit me hard was the death of Tonks (especially her) and Lupin. Overall, how'd you like the last book?.....I still can't believe it's over...Give me some hard hitting answers! I want your opinions my potterheads!! :D

Snape & Lily - I really liked being able to see further inside this relationship. In fact, my favorite scene in all of the books thus far was "Snape's Worst Memory" in OOTP. Absolutely fascinating.

Ron & Hermione - Yes, it's nice to see them happy. I've never been much for love stuff in books, so I don't get too excited over mushy stuff like that. ;)

Tonks - This really spun me for a loop for two big reasons. (1) Tonks is my girl. For the release of HBP, I decided to dress as Tonks. Pink hair, Weird Sisters shirt - the whole deal. I ended up wearing the costume on other occassions since then (my niece's HP birthday party, Halloween, DH release, etc.) So to know that the one character I really identified with was killed off was pretty lame. (2) I was surprised that Harry never made the connection in DH that Tonks & Lupin's baby Teddy was going to grow up just like he did - no parents, all alone. I really thought that him observing that issue would be some kind of a turning point for him, but it never happened. :(

Overall Opinion - I was very pleased with the series as a whole. The only thing that kind of let me down was the Epilogue in DH. For as upside-down as Harry's life was throughout the series, having the end tied up so neatly and perfectly was not what I anticipated. It was like a Disney ending to a Tim Burton creation. Just didn't mesh well.

If you're still with me after all of this blathering, I appreciate it. I clearly don't get to talk about HP as often as I'd like! :)

Snape has black hair and he had a crush on that Potter girl

im fan of harry potter......my email is oscar_h_sm@hotmail.com

OHMIGOSH
Lily and Snape... I thought that was the wierdest thing ever. but i loved it. I think it was a great twist to it and i love knowing Snape's background now. its very interesting.
i was so sad when Tonks died.
but what hit me hardest was Hedwigs dying. omg. I cried so much!! haha Hedwig was always there for Harry when nobody else was. it was amazing
and i love Ron and Hermione =)

gah! i love harry potter!

i thought like with snape and lily
i was like fur real?

and its pretty nifty.

yeh tonks its way sad
cause she just had a baby
and everything/
and then hedwig!!

poor owl.

well i am happy for ron and hermione.

and for ginny and harry........

yeah yeah

i couldnt believe that tonks and lupin died. and hedwig. and when i finally realized the truth about snape i hated voldemort even MORE. he was so loyal!!!

i wish the ending would have went more in depth. but i agree. i really felt for snape when it came to lily. i was really proud of neville too. i always like him. but im still confused about that little burnt baby thing in harrys head when he was talking to dumbledore. i think it was what was left of the horcrux. please excuse my spelling on that one

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!!
HARRY POTTER FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with evry word u have said. u have moved me to tears! I personally loved the last book. It was the perfect ending. I first thought before the book came out that it would be something that would leave me hanging like some of the other books i've read, but it really was a very satisfying ending. It would actually ruin it if J.K Rowling were going to make more books. Its good as it is. Perfecto ending.....perfecto matches.....and evrything!

GOD BLESS YOU AND ALL THE HARRY POTTER FANATICS IN TH WORLD!!!!!!!!

Snape and Lily's "past" sure was one hell of a twist!
But honestly, while the book was fun and exciting, questions still have been left unanswered.
Ever wonder what the black veil in Book 5 really is? Did Sirius really fall into it? What or who were the voices Harry supposedly heard there?

its bittersweet
snape is a total jerk (but he dies in the end)
but if lily and snape were together there would be NO HARRY POTTER. and he's kinda hot (potter

hey omg i was like crying when the book was over! lol! well i am sooo happy that harry and ginny are 2gether!! but it is sooo sad how tonks had 2 die right after she had the baby!! well hmm..i can't wait 2 see the movie!! but i wish j.k. would have told more about the future!!

That's a good question about a complicated situation.

Yes, Severus loved Lily even though he didn't feel worthy of her. On the other hand, he never managed to be a truly likeable person, mainly because he was afraid to be vulnerable. Lily yelled at James for tormenting Severus at Hogwarts, but she still loved James as she could never love Severus.

This contributed directly to Snape's dilemma regarding Harry. He hated the part of Harry that was like James, but did not really want harm to come to Lily's son. That's how the ending could turn out the way it did.

Of course I liked the book a lot. Was sad about Tonks and Remus, Dobby and Hedwig and Fred and George. Glad about Ron and Hermione and Harry and Ginny.

i loved the last book. it was my favorite of all the books. it really surprised me when snape told harry that him and lily were really good friends, but then he went and betrayed her when he really didnt betray her and it was confusing but hard to put down. i knew that ron and hermione were going to be together one day, but during the 4th book i thought that harry and hermione were going to be together. ginny and harry make a very good couple i think. when tonks died and lupin i was so sad it was heartbreaking right after she had a child. then when one of the twins george maybe got hurt (like his ear got taken off) i thought he was going to die and he was almost my favorite. i wish that they wouldv'e came out with mre books because they are just so great! the movies are good but the aren't as good when you read the book first. so ya harry potter is the greatest book series ever and everything that happened in the book was somewhat heartbreaking. also when mad eye moody died because he was trying to save harry in the beginning was hard for me to think could ever happen because mad eye had been helping harry sooooo much and then he just died. i know that everyone was helping harry in someway but that was the first traggic death in the book i think.

i was also surprised about the lily and snape thing. i couldn't put the book down. it took me a week to finsih it. i could the ron and hermione thing coming. it was inevitable. i was so sad when fred died. and the tonks and lupin thing got me as well. it's sad. i liked the twist rowling put in with harry and his being a horcrux. i did not expect that. i'm sad to see it's over, but there's still the movies to look forward to. I know they change things, but i look forward to see how they portray everything.

It was great to see Snape receive his character redemption. We learned that even Snape is capable of having a heart, and it was touching, knowing that he really loved Lily, although I suspected it since around book five. J.K. did a great job of making Snape a complex character who was ultimately forgiven because he was capable of love. I wouldn't have been able to see a Snape and Lily pairing, but it was still interesting to think over. There were too many unnecessary deaths, and it seemed like the author just wanted the story to end. It was a somewhat powerful book towards the end, but the middle was pretty boring, and it could have been better. I think it would've made for a nice dramatic touch if Voldemort had met his downfall once again at Godric's Hollow, or if he died because he fell behind the Veil. The book seemed to have a lot of mistakes and questionable actions. Why did Voldemort not try to invade Harry's mind to find his whereabouts? Pettigrew's death was lame, the final Horcrux was not a surprise to anybody, and I don't think Voldemort would be stupid enough to mentally broadcast the location of his Horcruxes, no matter how angry he was. Voldemort deserved what happened to him, but the ending was not a surprise in any way. The book was too happy, as Harry should have died. This would have sent a more powerful message and injected more seriousness into the books. The epilogue is hopelessly cheesy. (Albus Severus) It was an excellent book, but had a lot of room for improvement.

I read every book probably 20 plus times except the last one. The entire series was just amazing.

The seventh book however brought my entire Harry Potter obsession to an end however. How she ended it was just horrible. Not the part where everyone dies, the " 19 Years Later Chapter"

She SHOULD NOT have wrote that chapter. It didn't say what everyone choose as a career, and how they all had kids named after people from the book was just like..no. She shouldn't have jumped that far into the future at the end. She should of wrote more books or just left it off for us to wonder. The series was way to wonderful for it to have a perfect little, corny Disney ending. I was actually really upset about it.

Also I agree that Ron and Hermione finally got together and harry and Ginny got back together, but I think they sort of rushed it at the end. It was like 3 lines of Ron and Hermione and Harry and Ginny, then the 19 Years later comes up and everyone married with kids. I don't know, maybe I'm overreacting but it was way to much of a rush forward for me.

EVERYONE IS DYING!!!! They dropped like flies. Snape was really misunderstood, I think James and company gave him a hard time, all he did was for Lily. I think the death of Lupin and Tonks was a cruel move by JK, but it was a war, people had to die. The last book is great, but I think the best one is the 6th, great story build up, and develops very neatly Voldemort′s character.

I think it was very nice of Snape to protect Harry. On another note, I seriously think that Hermione could have done better than fall in love with Ron who is git most of the time. I was very dissapointed that a lot of great characters will killed off including Dobby. Overall, I loved the whole book. It's my favorite next to Goblet of Fire.
