Question: I saw it on unsolved mysteries like 4 or 5 years ago that the lead singer of one of the bands died after the movie was made or maybe even during the moving but I cant find any info about it now anywhere. Any info would be great!

There is a poster on the wall of Kat's room advertising the band called The Gits whose lead singer Mia Zapata was killed in 1993. This goes along with Kat's liking of bands like Bikini Kill and The Raincoats.
Yeah, the only person I could think of that you could be referring to was Mia Zapata, who died long before the movie came out.

Zapata's murder was covered on "City Confidential". She was dead by the time the film was made.
