What Film is this, can't remember the title?!
Question: It's an old possibly 70's made Australian (road movie) Film Its a comedy where two guys drive across Aussie in a UK mini car, it gradually gets smashed up and they become heroes on the news. It wasn't that good but I do recall having a right good laugh at it many years ago and I'm trying to get hold of a copy of it for a friend from way back who watched it with me.

It sounds a bit like 'Goodbye Pork Pie'? I'm only going by memory - I saw this film years ago, and what you are saying rings a bell! Hope that's of some help :-)
Goodbye Pork Pie - filmed 1979 in New Zealand
Goodbye, Pork Pie. Made in New Zealand and released in 1981. Written by Ian Mune and Geoff Murphy and directed by Geoff Murphy. It was so low budget, they couldn't afford stunt drivers and so Geoff Murphy drove a police car into a lake himself.
Geoff Murphy went on to direct "Young Guns II", "Freejack", and "Under Seige II", amongst others.
