Were you disappointed with the Resident Evil Trilogy?!

Question: As a very big video game fan I was extremely disappointed with the Resident Evil films. The original Resident Evil story was not just a mindless "shoot-the-zombie" action/horror game, it had a very in-depth story with critical plot elements that were absolutely essential to the entire story. If you changed any one of those you would change the story. It seems to be that the movies are Resident Evil in name only with only a few shadows of elements from the game thrown in to disguise an otherwise bad zombie movie.

Were you disappointed with the movies or did you find them interesting? Please give an explanation.

(I'm an open minded person and I'm not looking for someone to agree with me, I'd love to hear both sides of the arguement)

The first one was a pretty predictable "Whhen Science goes wrong" zombie flick. Mildly entertaining

The second way stopped being scary and became more of an action fest. That was actually sorta entraining since I like action flicks

However, the third one was the worse. It wasn't scary nor was it full of action. It pretty much just had almost no real plot, and some CGI gore.

I would agree that neither of the 3 movies had any serious plot . It's just Umbrella planing something and an uber monster gets released. I read on Wikipedia that even Milla Jovovich was displeased with the 2nd movie and the director
