In the end of Forest Gump, Jenny dies of AIDS right? How come gump doesn't c!

Question: I mean, I know its just a movie, it's just something that crossed my mind.

Answers: I mean, I know its just a movie, it's just something that crossed my mind.

Definitely "some type of virus, they don't know what it is", the timing is right for the start of AIDS as is the whole premise of the movie (being on the spot for the most influential moments of history in his lifetime.)

First, we know Forrest bumped uglies with her to get little Forrest; but she found out about the virus when he was older, so may not have had it when they...you know what I mean; we don't know that he did after they met up again. He probably wouldn't have because she was sick and he was looking after her. (And that's just the kind of guy he was. Aaaww.)

Second, it's not as common for a guy to get AIDS from a woman as for a woman to get it from a guy; the virus needs to get into the bloodstream, which suggests a tear in the tissue (hence why it's more common after anal sex). Guys aren't as likely to have an open pathway for the virus since sex isn't as ... violating? ... for them.

jenny dies from cancer not AIDS.

Jenny does die of Aids...his mother dies from cancer. I don't think they ever really had sex....well maybe they went through with it once.

His mom dies from cancer.
I don't think it says what Jenny dies from.
Did you realize Jenny is Buttercup from "The Princess Bride"?

It does imply that she dies from AIDS, but it does not tell when she gets it. You will remember that while they slept together the once, they have not lived together since, and she picked it up afterwards.

maybe they use condoms

Because they had sex before she contracted HIV, she must also have given birth to their son before she got HIV or her son would also have been HIV+ (at the time of the movie's making there were no viable drugs to prevent an infected mother from passing the virus on to her child).

After he found her again they either practiced incredibly safe sex, which is possible, or they didn't have sex again.

It's harder for the Male to get aids from a Female than for the recipient to get it. AIDS is passed through contaminated bodily fluids, not by air or simple contact. If Jenny had HIV/AIDS, she was putting Forrest at risk.
Also remember, she apologizes to him for "anything she might have done or any harm she might have put him through" when he visits her in her apartment and meets his son. I saw it again tonight and that hit me as "she knew she had it when she made love to him."
You notice the kid didn't have it either, HIV/AIDS is not necessarilly passed on to the fetus of the infected mother either. There is a certain level of immune barrier it has to defeat to do that also.
Oh and Bungy, the word would be "intrusive", as it was consensual sex.
