The theater I went to tonight was packed with kids. Not sure why though.
You don't see any details, even when Angelina is shown naked. There is female cleavage on a couple occasions but no nipple shots. Beowulf is frequently shown naked and Anthony Hopkins is toward the beginning but you don't see private parts due to camera angles and how the characters stand when talking to each other.
It all depends on the rating the theater gives the movie, and how old your children are, ask the theater about age restrictions.
Although I have read the epic poem myself, both the heaney and raffel translation, the women characters were hardly mentioned throughout the writing. Therefore, the movie is obviously a bit off from the original translated text. This means that I simply do not know.
