Question: HEY all! i have a ques here 2 which i hope u have the answer. so here is my ques:
In the 7th part Deathly hallows when harry lets voldy kill him off he goes 2 a place which is white n there he actually meets dumbledore right? so in that part of the book there is a mention of a child or a baby actually who is crying non stop right? so harry asks dumbledore "what is it?" n "cant we do anything 2 help it?" so wel dumbledore replies no n says that it is something that is beyond our help.
so i wanna know know who that baby was? i asked this ques to my cousin n she said it was voldy n she gave her own reasons y but wat do u think?

Your cousin is correct. It is the part of Voldemort's mutilated soul. I have read the book several times and read interviews with Rowling and she has confirmed this. As Dumbledore says in the books to Harry, everytime he was Voldemort after he began making Horcruxes, he looked more and more non-human. That "baby" is Voldemort's split up, mutilated soul. And in response to Dumbledore saying that they can't do anything to help it, remorse is the only way to rebuild/repair your soul. And as we all know, Voldemort feels no remorse and therefore, he cannot be helped. Nor can his shattered soul. So, I hope this answers your question! I love Harry Potter too!

This is Voldemort. He has returned to an early primitive stage. He is as Harry was when he cursed and tried to kill him as a baby.
That's Voldemort. he had mutilated his soul by creating horcruxes. Now, if u've read the book carefully, Hermione does mention that the only way of getting ur soul back together is by remorse. Harry asks Voldemort to show remorse in the end coz he "had seen what would happen to him". In the sense, If voldemort never shows remorse, he would end up being that thing.
