Number 23 the movie???!
Question: Alright i want to see it but i dont want to ruin my opinion on jim carrey. He is one of my favorite comedic actors and seeing him in a serious film may ruin it for me. Is it a good movie and worth seeing? If so why?

If you like a good movie with an awesome twist, then it is worth it to see the film. I've seen Jim in a few serious roles and he does an excellent job. He is a way better comedy actor, but he still manages to play a serious role. It is actually funny because when he read the script for the movie he could relate to it in a very weird way. He had a friend that was obsessed with the number 23. He said that his friends obsession even carried over to him to an extent. So when he read the script he just had to play the part. I would recommend!!!
jim carey is a legitimate actor. i liked the movie. u should check it out
its just hard to follow pay attention. Dont get distract and it will alright, Its not his greatest work but its aight

THIS WAS A VERY GOOD MOVIE. IT SHOWS THE DEPTH OF JIM CARREY'S TALENT. I GIVE IT TWO THUMBS UP !!! FOUR AND A HALF STARS !!! A GREAT DATE MOVIE CAUSE IT HAS A RELATIONSHIP ELEMENT TO IT.
i had high hopes for the movie, but like you said it kinda ruined future comedies that he will do for me. i thought the movie was mediocre at best.
The story line is a little hard to follow but jim Carrey does a phenomenal job! You really should check it out.
I just watched it again last night. It is definitely a different role for Jim Carrey. It surely is his most serious role...Without giving it away he plays 2 roles. One is a little lighter at first so you still get some of his natural mannerisms that he's known for. I thought it was a really good flick. It twists at the end like the Sixth Sense, I didn't see it coming. If you like numbers it's cool. Things really do add up to 23! I was blown away by the extras too. They show you what your personal number is and what it means....It's worth buying a used copy or watching it at least once...
I loved this movie. Very intense. The only problem is, I found myself looking for the number 23 everywhere I went afterwards. I'm still doing it. Be careful. It may consume you, too. I'm not even close to going mad over it but every so often, I'll see something and I'll try and see if the number 23 or 32 are in it. (People's names, etc..)
I am not a Jim Carrey fan as far as his comedic roles. But, I enjoyed him very much in The Number 23. I think he should take on more roles in genres other than comedy, he does a great job and I liked the movie.
This is not Jim's first serious role.
He has been in a couple of movies that are not comedy's.
He is a great actor that can pull of more than jokes and slapstick comedy.
Grant you he is one of the best in the biz.
But surprise he is also one of the best actors in the biz to.
Why would you let a serious role played by him ruin your opinion of his comedies.

Yes The Number 23 is a good movie.
It keeps you on your toes wondering if he is going crazy or is he right.
If it's not what you like after you watch it than so be it.
I don't think it would ruin it for you to watch one of his more serious films. ( I did not like The Majestic and I still love Jim)
