I don't play basketball or anything, but I really liked "He Got Game"
It's a movie about a father who needs to convince his son, who is a really good basketball player, to sign a contract so he can get out of jail. His son hates him because he killed his mother (accident) and because he was harsh when he was a kid (he forced him to play basketball alot so he would make it big etc) anyway, it's a really great movie and Denzel Washington plays the father.
Well I've never been big on sports film. The only basketball film I've ever seen and enjoyed was Space Jam with Bugs Bunny and Michael Jordan (I still like it). The Basketball Diaries is supposed to be good though.

Space Jam is hilarious but I would say that Glory Road is a better basketball movie.
