I appreciate both efforts. I think Bale is a better Batman but Keaton is a better Bruce Wayne.
Christian Bale was a better Batman, in my opinion, but both did a good job. And yeah, Bale would kick Keaton's butt.
Both did VERY well in the role, but I've got to go with Christian Bale's Batman. He would probably kick Keaton's butt. (Come on, have you seen "American Psycho"?)
Val Kilmer also made a good Batman. George Clooney sucked in the role.

he really pulls off the darker side of batman, while Michael Keaton really pulled off Bruce Wayne. but the movies are more about batman.
in a fight, christian bale would win- he is a lot bigger, and more ripped. not to mention he actually underwent martial arts training for his role, where Keaton didn't really.
and, christian bales batman can move his head independently from his body, and Keaton's batman's mask is connected to his shoulders.
Yeah Bale would definitely win in a fight. It's really hard to say who was a better Batman, but I would have to go with Bale's performance. To me, Keaton will always be batman since i gew up on that movie, but in all honesty Batman Begins is a better made movie, and Bale's performance definitely was a big part of it. They did a really good job of showing where he came from and everything. I can't wait for The Dark Knight. We will then have to compare Heath Ledger vs Jack Nicholson. Again, Nicholson will always be the joker, but I think Heath Ledger is going to be awesome.

I think they both did a very good job for the time period they did it in.
So many people are more impressed with Christian Bale, but that's only because the movie is new and acting, graphics and camera work has come a long way.
Personally, I really just enjoy Batman and they both portrayed Him well!
i liked both actors as batman but for different reasons,bale's version was more darker and more suitible for a little bit older people where as keaton's version was less about his past and more about fighting crime and the bad guys even though both were that aswell,but i agree with a few people here that bale would knock keaton's light out.lol

I don't know. I have this penchant for the original (well at least, for the one that made it popular first like Reeve as Superman). So I guess, I'd pick Keaton. I grew up with him as the Batman back in the time when my standards were merely verging on whether or not it entertained me.
But who would win in a fight? Depends on who employs the better stunt coordinator (and STUNT DOUBLE!). Come on, with that mask, you'd think it's Bale and Keaton themselves? If it's a question between Jackie Chan and Jett Li, that would be an interesting fight.
