The villain is the title of the movie saw her childhood fame disappear as her si!

Question: I think you are referring to Jane Hudson in "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?" (1962).

However, if Blanche hadn't pulled the stunt that she did way back when, the one that crippled her in a car crash, then allowed Jane to take the blame for what happened, would her sister have become the bizarre person we see? Isn't Blanche more villainous for allowing her younger sister to be so tortured throughout her life with the belief that she had tried to kill her sister (Blanche) but only crippled her?

Watch Jane's reaction when Blanche tells her this at the beach. It's really so sad. Blanche is just as responsible for what happens~perhaps guiltier.

I just had to say that because Jane is so often maligned. Watch the film again, and you will see that Blanche is not the saintly woman people might believe she is. One might say that she is, as the saying goes, hoisted on her own petard. In other words, she made her bed and has to lie in it~finally in torment. I've lost count of the number of times I have seen it and realize how easy it is to hate Jane for tormenting her sister; after awhile, you realize there's a lot more to the relationship.

If you would like to see an excellent version, watch the TV remake that stars Vanessa and Lynn Redgrave, with John Glover in the Victor Buono role.
