I knew what Jesus went through for us was brutal, but this movie made it more real than ever before. I definitely cried when I watched it in the movie theater.

The cinematography was beautifully done - I heard it referred to as the movie version of a Caravaggio painting.

It was a real experience to watch and one I wouldn't have missed for the world.

it was very violent but then again so was the event. I own a copy but i have never watched it. I saw it in the theater...ill never forget it becasue immediatly after i went to the hospital to have my second baby! I cried through the whole movie. It was very accurate i think.

lt's a great movie. l cried a lot while watching it. There are others crying in the theater too. We were all spiritually affected.

One of the best movies i have ever seen. but it didnt make me sad or cry. it kind of made me mad. I wanted to go inside the movie screen and beat up those roman @$$holes that were whipping and torturing Jesus!!!

It's as if Gibson is measuring God's love by the amount of blood he shows on the screen.

I heard that Pope John Paul II was asked to watch it before the premiere, and he was moved by the movie.

Personally I think it's the only film that best captured the events leading to Christ's crucifixion.

And it best humanized Jesus that no other film has yet achieved.

i cried through it. i understood it enough, but i think you have to of been brought up in a catholic church to truly understand it.

After watching it, it really made me appreciate the gifts that God has given me. I could not watch it more than once because I cried too much when I seen it the first time. :-(

I love it. Everytime I watch it, it always makes me cry...

im not religious but the first time i watched it i was moved like no other film had ever made me feel
its a very deep spiritual film
amazing

great movie. i didnt think i'd like it since it was in aramaic and you basically had to READ the movie. but still it was amazing. very emotional. gibson is a hell of a director. the scene where they were whipping him just killed me.
