Will you go see Beowulf?!
Question: I find that I am intrigued by the idea and it dose look good visually (digitally) but I just don’t know. There have been so many BAD and I do mean bad attempts to make this movie. It is the oldest story ever told in the English language and we have made it so bad that no one really cares about it. This story was one of Tolkien’s biggest influences when he shaped Middle-Earth and more specifically Rohan. If you didn’t know the kings hall in Beowulf is called Meduseld and Tolkien doesn’t even try to dinkies it or anything just puts it right in there and names Théoden’s Hall Meduseld.
So Will this movie just add to the crap that is Beowulf cinema or will it be worth your $7.50 plus?....alas I just don’t know

I was thinking about this today. I love the story of Beowulf, but I am so sick of bad movies about great stories. I wonder if some of these very old stories just don't translate to the screen that well.
But, if I do see it I guess it will be better at the cinema on the big screen, rather than wait until it comes on DVD, so yeah, I guess I will probably go to see it for that reason.
I hope it will be good and not just add to the crap, as you say. I know what you mean by that, and I hope that's not how it's going to be!

No I won't. Angelina Jolie has the power to seriously **** every movie up by being in it.
there is no way i won't go see the movie the trailer intriges me for the fact that it stars ray winstone, anthony hopkins and angelina jolie i love three of them
I will definitely go see this movie. It is one of my favorite stories and plus it will be on IMAX.
I have a bad feeling about this movie - 3 heavyweight actors and some CGI does not, a good movie make. I have the horrible feeling that we have already seen the best bits in the trailer. I will wait for DVD.
Hells yeah! I'll be viewing this bad boy on IMAX 3D!!
