Best of the Star Wars movies in order? all of them?!
Question: The older ones had better dialogue and for the most part, better acting
best was #5 Empire Strikes Back
next was #4 New Hope
and then #6 Return of the Jedi (would have been higher except for the stupid ewoks)
The newer ones had crap dialogue and crap acting, but good special effects. I also didn't like the way Lucas tried to tie everything together and in the process screwed up the whole story line, plus his writing is horrible...he should have hired real writers like he did for the first set. I mean, come on! C3P0 is Darth Vader's droid? fer cryin' out loud! And the guy that played young Anakin, what a tool. And the Force went from something inside you, to a parasitic microorganism in your blood...what a load! Don't even get me started on Jar Jar.
so even though the newer episodes are my least favorite, I'll rate them
#3 The best of this bunch, even though it didn't make too much sense with Anakin choking his love, and I didn't care for the killing in the Jedi Academy by him.
#2 Action sequences were OK, acting was atrocious, why didn't they ever go back and buy out Anakin's mother? Or why did he have to rely on the Force to get news of her? I'm sure they had some form of email or telephone even if the holographic calls were reserved for higher ups.
#1 The worst of the bunch, bland characterless and stupid story line with Anakin the boy and some sort of teenage 'elected queen' of Naboo...and stupid aliens like the wassamattaforyou pseudo italian junk guy, and the two headed Nascar race announcer, not to mention Jar Jar Binks.

I have to go with the original Episode IV at no 1. Simply because it started it all. When it was came out in 1977, it was 10 years ahead of anything else at the time. Also it revolutionalised the way people viewed cinema from then on.
Then the other original 2 movies as in order they came out i.e Ep V Empire Strikes Back then Ep VI Return Of The Jedi. I would actully have the storyline of Ep V as a number one though.
Then of the others, well take your pick. I actually like Ep II for the action sequence and awesome battle scene at the end. Plus, you cant go past seeing Yoda strike up his light sabre against Dooku! Funny as hell...As for the others, I guess Ep III then Ep I (aside from the podrace it lacked a little action)
