I love the trilogy and can't wait to see the movie, although I cannot imagine how they will translate it to the screen!
When I first heard Nicole Kidman was in it, I was a little unsure, but I must say that I have seen a trailer for the movie online and she is PERFECT!
The books are marvellous, so imaginative and full of energy. Very beautiful, I cried in many places.

The Golden Compass was absolutely my favorite series when I was little (before I discovered Harry Potter). As soon as I heard that they were making a movie out of it, I went back and reread the whole trilogy. I had forgotten how adventurous and deep all of the books were! Although I'm taking for granted that the movie will not be as good as the book itself, I am expecting great things from it - especially with its steller cast! Hopefully, I will be one of the first in line with my little sister (I'm hoping she'll begin to love those books as much as I).
I love the trilogy, and I support that it was watered down to make it less anti-Christian. It is one of the more true adaptations, and the film truly looks like Lyra's World.
i love fantasy stories! this one should be great! I watched stardust and absolutely loved it. i didn't like the seeker though...
