Why do people like to watch crappy movies?!
Question: And I'm not talking about B-movies or low budget that are so bad they're good (haha I love those ones) but I mean WHY do you people spend your money at the theatres for a movie just to watch sh*t blow up, guy saves girl, they kiss, the end??

One man crappy movie is another one masterpiece. Some of us actually go to the movie to be entertained, not to ponder the meaning of life!
I don't go to the movies often so I'm picky about what I go see, but usually I wait for DVD for movies where I have to pay attention because at the theatre there's always people that can't shut up, or stop kicking your seat, or seven foot NBA player sits in front of you
Sometimes since the previews from the movies seem really good, some people assume the whole movie is good! If I already spent my money, I might as well watch it. I'm lying! I walked out on Catwoman!
I'm not really big on going to the theatres anyway either. It's gotta be a specific movie to get me out and I only go to Hollywood Blvd cuz they serve decent food and liquor. The liquor comes in really handy when the movie is crap. I have Netflix and a bunch of rent one, get one coupons for Hollywood Video so I save ones I defintely think will be crappy to watch in the comfort of my own home so I can yak in the toilet when I get so upset to my stomach for sitting thru the crap for an ending like the one I got.
I think people torture themselves with watching bad movies so they'll be all warmed up when they are held in a POW camp and forced to watch "Crossroads" over and over again.
I agree with you, thats the reason I never go to movies at all.
