Answers: universal translators may be all well and good but im not wearing one and i can still understand them
lol..very funny, the translator is inside your tv too...courtesy of the federation of planets...lmao..
The camera filming them IS fitted with one LOL
Ask the production team!
You'd probably be a little baffled if you couldn't understand a word they were saying.. Lol
So you can understand!!!! xD
I think its because the predominant audience is English speaking.
I suppose Alien language's wouldnt work but they would be alien to the audience and we would have a clue whats going on.
aKSJFDHDW (thats goodbye in alien)
The film maker built a universal translator into the movie. In the later films, only multi-lingual aliens were cast, saving the huge costs of universal translators (the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few). Live long and prosper.
because they all watched Friends over the internet thus learning the perky ways of America !
Because the Queens English is rightly the most widespread common language not only on this planet but obviously on others as well.
Save on the subtitles..................................
I'm still trying to figure out why in ancient "Rome" (HBO), everyone speaks with a British accent.
As Scotty says, damage control is easy, translating Klingon, that's hard. I guess you just have some linguistic gift, because I forked over 2000 quatloos for a translater that takes 20 AAA batteries, I think I was hosed by Harry Mudd actually, maybe it was Quark?
congratulations you have repeated the oldest anti star treck argument
Because we've all got the babelfish from Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
