No! God no! OMG! I HATE THAT MOVIE IT'S JUST POINTLESS! And No one goes anywhere ... the point is that the girl is pure evil, she drives the old man crazy ... and ...
P.S: THe movie is stupid! And it should be R rated due to the scene at the end :)
First of all, that might be the worst movie I have ever seen. I only saw it in the theater, so its been some time since I have seen it.
I think she was from the other world, that is why she flew up the stair case in one scene. I think the director decided that this story line was not important to the movie which made no sense anyway, so it was brief.
Here is what I don't understand about this movie. Johnny Depp went on this long journey to find 9 pages to open a portal to hell. If he wanted to go to hell so badly, why not just kill someone and then yourself. Both ways you end up in the same place, and one is a lot easier than the other way.
I thought it was a great movie myself, I loved The Ninth Gate.
The guy above Me is totally wrong by the way, completing the ritual would give You the power of a god not send you to hell. And the girl was the Devil, the first answerer was right about that.
