While I decorate (the day after Thanksgiving), I usually watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and Scrooged (Bill Murray) Others I watch through the season are:

Home alone 1 and 2 (I agree the 3rd and 4th suck)
It's a Wonderful Life
Elf
A Charlie Brown Christmas
Mixed Nuts (Steve Martin)
A Christmas Story

If you are looking for a good Thanksgiving warm up, try Home For The Holidays with Holly Hunter...

Return of the Jedi...It's A Wonderful Life...whatever's on TV...

When I'm on my own - with the kids in bed - I'll be watching ITS A WONDERFUL LIFE. With the kids it'll be the greatest Christmas movie of all tim THE MUPPETS CHRISTMAS CAROL - laugh out loud lines and great tunes AND Michael Cain.

national lampoons christmas vacation. watch it every year

usualy i watch the nightmare before christmas and santa cluase 1-2-3
also kris kringle
and any new movies:}

I don't watch any particular movie every year, just what ever is on and looks interesting. But we used to watch the Grinch whole stole Christmas every year when i was younger

Home Alone and The Santa Clause are my two favorite holiday movies, but I like Elf and Edward Scissorhands, too. Elf soundtrack is a total fave.

Already watched Nightmare Before Christmas on Halloween, but I usually watch it between Halloween and Xmas, too. Good question!

I'm definitely not watching that new Vince Vaughn holiday movie. what a way to destroy your street cred! what was he smoking the day he signed on for that movie? To go from Made and Swingers to a xmas movie? god no.

Yeah Home Alone is good. But i don't like the 3rd one. I never saw the 4th one. I didn't even know there was a 4th one. I also love a Christmas Carol. I want to see that new movie coming out: Fred Claus.

Well, i'm sure Elf will be on T.V., so if it is, i will watch that. Last year i watched part of it 3 times, because they had it on T.V., and i had nothing to do.
Gosh, i love that movie.

Scrooged
Elf
The old classics like Rudolph, Frosty, Santa Clause
Mickey's Christmas
and of course...
The Grinch

rudolph! the claymation one.

I try to watch three.
As an agnostic, I watch "The Fountainhead", to remind me at Winter Solstice what I stand for--individual rights--and what I oppose--collectivism, such as public interest Washington's petty tyrannies.
I show "Elf" to a group of seniors who enjoy its amiable message as I do its allegorical fun.
And I choose a third film or radio MP3 for myself. or buy a favored DVD, etc., so that I can have something as a Christmas present worth looking forward to, despite my lack of funds I earned but was not paid over many years.

Thank you for asking.

Christmas Story
Christmas Vacation
Polar Express!!
Oh.....And Nightmaer Before Christmas....Hells Yeah!!!

And Of Coure You Cant Forget The Home Alones....

I really love all the Christmas movies but my favorite three are 1) Charlie Brown Christmas 2) Christmas Story 3) National Lampoon's Christmas with Chevy Chase ...I love it

To me, it's not Christmas without "A Christmas Carol." I love the 1951 version with Alaster Sim as Scrooge, though the 1938 version with Reginald Owen is closer to the book. The recent made for TNT with Patrick Stewart is A-OK both for the performance and for it's fidelity to the book!

My brother, on the other hand, loves "Die Hard" ( I & II ) for Christmas! Go figure!
