I don't know if you are on a budget or not, but here are a couple of cost-saving ideas.

You can use a couple of green posterboards (you know like the stuff you get from walmart for 99 cents a piece) and tape them up to the wall - just make sure when you put it up that they different poster boards overlap eachother so that you don't have gaps when you film (you'll see what I mean if you try it). Make sure your camera has green screen (or blue screen) settings and you are ready to go.

You can a disk of sound effects or search on the web for free sound effects and download those. For props, I'd try the dollar store, thrift shop, or - since halloween is over - you might be able to get some discount costumes. If you need a really expensive prop, maybe you can borrow it or rent it from a costume store.

If you get something like Adobe Premiere Elements or if you have a Mac (or know someone who does) then you've got the software that you need. (You probably already have software though). If you don't have a mac, for music there's lots of good software out there - I've used Magix Music Maker - and it was pretty decent. If you have a mac, then it comes with Garage Band already - you can use it to mix the music and special effect type sounds. Then just drag your effects into Premiere, iMovie, Final Cut, or whatever you are using to put the pieces of your movie together.

Then try to check out some sort of filmmaking book in the library to learn some techniques. Watch as many movies/films as you can to get ideas.

Good luck!

To buy a green screen without anything to put it on is about £125 for a decent one. A projector backing to put it on is about the same again. When you buy a green screen it will come with a program, but something like Ulead Video Maker is a good starting one. Not sure on props though.
