Can anyone help out, trying to figure someting about the Eyes Wide Shut?!
Question: I have noticed while watching the film, yesterday, that the colors blue, purple, and grey, seem to play a large role, in the film.
Is there any significance at all? Just curious, that's all.

any stanly kubrick movies have very specific tones, scenes, etc. its part of his way of film making.
Don't know, I saw the movie, but didn't really pay attention to that aspect. Probably just used to set the mood. It could mean something similar to colors used by the Masonic Temple.
There is usually a purpose for colors in movies & I think with these dark colors they did represent mystery
well if it was just blue and purple i would think it was to add dark tone( never seen eyes wide shut so...) or like another person said add mystery... the gray could be saying something about the movie also( or i could be being stupid and the colors could just be what they had on hand or colors they liked:))
