Answers: I didnt say if the current horror flicks are bad, but it was the golden age.

I can remember watching really good horror movies back then, they were so scary even I used to cringe, it will never be the same again.

The Hammer House of Horror were great!

yes i agree with the hammer house films they made you imagine more what was about to happen than the more gorey ones of today. my imagination used to run riot and id end up sleeping with a light on lol.

are we talking about the classic gothic horror? yes they were!

but also don′t forget the italian giallo classic horror flicks of Mario Bava, Dario Argento and Fulci in the 60′s & 70′s. they were the biggest rivalry of the british hammer horror classic.

We won′t also forget some other american horror classic like the exorcist, psycho, dawn of the dead, night of the living dead, day of the dead, they were great during that time either.

I have to say i was not born in that era but Physho (1960) was one of my best horror films .

I loved the 80's when all the gore and zombies came in with the advent of home video rental and subsequant attempts to ban them all - there's some real gems out there

Re-Animator(1985). Last great horror movie.

Blackula scared the s--t outta me!
