I don't get why the director wanted that Japanese girl naked for so much of the movie.

The movie illustrates that people will bend over backwards if an American gets shot, to the point where a whole family, already unfortunate, has to suffer tremendously.

The American woman gets shot in a rural area. They bring in a translator and freakin' helicopter to her rescue, kill one of the kids involved in the accident, and beat up the guy who sold the rifle to the family. Oh, and they seek out and investigate the Japanese guy who sold the rifle to the first person involved.

The movie is meant to illustrate the luxuries and bias that rich Americans enjoy, sometimes at great cost to others in other lands. I think it was directed by Brad Pitt, who is a huge leftist.

I turned it off after 15 minutes. Yawn.

i didn't see the meaning of this movie

The movie is about communications failures due to the inability of characters to speak in other languages. That part is fine. But it's full of very liberal stories to demonstrate this, the worst being the Japanese girl who's nude for so long. The director must've been a perv. My favorite part was the illegal nanny who takes the American kids to a Mexican wedding. There's this guy who twists a chicken's head off for all the kids to see (Mexican and American). Finally, the body comes free and the Mexican kids chase after the body while the American kids freak out. The one thing I learned from this movie is that I never want to visit Morocco. The lady gets shot and there are no properly trained medical personnel nearby. There's just this shaman lady who gives her dope for the pain.

Its title comes from the tower of babel. (http://bible.crosswalk.com/OnlineStudyBi... )
