The male mouse sets out on adventure to look for food while leaving the female behind. Throughout the male mouse's adventure a devil mouse appears on the girl and tempts her with food for the exchange of her soul. The devil mouse uses the male mouses hardships to lure the female mouse into selling her soul. The devil knows the mouses love for each other is so strong and that it would help break her into selling her soul. The male mouse finally finds food not knowing he only found it because of his wife's bargain with the devil mouse.
