The 6th Sense...Overrated?!

Question: I thought so. Yeah, the twist at the end was good, but everyone & their jester thought it was this Huuuge, mind-bending ending. I mean, the hoopla over this film was over the top, IMO. Frankly, I've seen far scarier.

& you?

Just a bit overrated. I mean, once you've seen it once, there is no point watching it again.

And it was ruined for me because I saw it with someone who had rented it, and her son had already seen it and he goes
"At the end it turns out..." !

Not one I will ever be owning or wanting to see again.

All movies by M. Night Shyamalan are overrated.

ys it is. it was not as great as people made it seem. compared to other films, it was a stupid ending

did noone wonder why he hadnt gone home or people wonder why he was hanging around with a kid i had it figured out in like 10minutes it was ok but the hoopla was too much

The M Night Shamalayan movie. With the mind-blowing twist at the end. The one that You never see coming. The one I like well enough to be in My Top 100. The one I would stand up and say has one of the greatest twist endings in Movie History.........That Movies name is
Unbreakable

Unbreakable is, in my opinion, 20 times the movie The Sixth Sense is. That and Signs are the only two Shamalayan movies I like, matter of fact.

Well, that's just it. A lot of "scary" films like Saw I, II, III, The Excorcist, Halloween, Nightmare On Elm St. etc, are over-the-top, and I suppose are intended to be that way. But I gotta hand it to Shyamalan, he delivers a different brand of suspense. His is subtle, but some of the scenes do leave a lasting impression. Don't say that the scene where the 70's kid ghost that appears, and wants to show where his dad "hides his gun" didn't freak you out. Seeing the bullet wound in his head ... shudder ... gah!

I think a lot of the ratings came from Haley Joel Osment and his caliber of acting for such a young child as opposed to the actual story itself.

that movie is def. overrated i rented it thinking wow everyone thought it was amazing

i was soo let down
