Did the film 'The Producers' win any Oscars?!
Question: "The Producers" (2005) was nominated for the following awards:

It received no Academy Award nominations, but, considering the quantity of films released, odds are against the average film winning anything.
The staged musical version fared far better:

Not sure ... but it was a great film a bit "ditsy" plot wise.
Mel Brookes has this thing about mocking Nazis, it's a tired Hollywood-Jewish spite thing and it gets old.
No because it is a broadway-based movie. Look to see if it got a tony
The 1968 film with Zero Mostel did, for Mel Brooks screenwriting. And Gene Wilder was nominated for an Oscar but didn't win.
There was a further 2005 film with Matthew Broderick which i don't think did.
no,he didn't`t, the theatre play won a Tony awards
Hello PJ,
You do not say which version of the film The Prodcers you are referring to.
In the 1968 version starring Gerne Wilder & Zero Mostel, the film won an Oscar in 1968 for 'Best Writing, Story and Screenplay - Written Directly for the Screen'. Mel Brooks won this as he wrote the screenplay.
Gene Wilder was nominated, but did not win, an Oscar for 'Best Actor in a Supporting Role'
The 1968 version was also nominated for 2 Golden Globe awards but failed to win either.
The 2005 version was not nominated for any Oscars but was nominated for 4 Golden Globe Awards, 1 Grammy Award plus a couple of other awards but did not win any,
I believe the stage version of The Producers won a record number of awards, including 12 Tony's.
