    Either way it's an excellent film. I've watched it a few times myself.
    The version you watched was Leon.
    The other version is called The Professional.
    Not sure what you mean by "western", but Leon was edited for time/flow reasons and also to personalize the Leon character.
    you're right, it was cut down, which is such a shame, cos it isn't a sexual relationship. matilda may misconceive it as such, but it isn't at all. it's incredibly sweet and poignant.
