Whos ever seen that old scary movie called IT about that clown?!

Question: I saw it when I was like 8 or something.

For the next 2 years whenever I had a shower I had to put the plug in the drain (we had a shower/bath in one), I only stopped because we moved to a new house and I couldn't do it anymore.

I still have drain issues!

Oh and my brother and I would race boats in the gutters outside when it rained, we literally have 7 drains within a 30m radius of our house (we live over a creek), whenever the boat would get near a drain (which was fairly often!) we would scream and run inside.

Serious drain issues.

I have, when it was on the Sci-Fi channel years ago. The spider was corny.

I have. It's a pretty creepy film, and to this day, the clown still scares me alot.

I have

I have! It came on channel 17 last night! LOL XD!

Yeah. Crummy movie. Great book. Very long, though.

i have, i think that's why i don't' like clowns

I've seen it. Wasn't that keen on it to be honest. It was an adaptation of Stephen King's IT, a 1000+ page novel adapted by Lawrence D. Cohen into a 3+ hour long feature.

Directed by Tommy Lee Wallace, and featuring early appearances by John Ritter and Annette O'Toole, this 1990 adaptation also features Tim Curry as Pennywise the Dancing Clown!!! Inspired casting.

I have seen it..plus read the book. "IT" was written by Stephen King. It was great...Think I will go rent it tonight..Seems like a good day for a good scary movie..

Im still scared of clowns because of that movie.

idk what my parents were thinking when they let me watch it.

The clowns name is IT and yeah not scary FRECKY

Didn't catch the film - I did read the book though -years ago-
By Stephen King

Actually, it was a TV miniseries, and they rarely show it full-length. Still, the cut version remains solid.

Yes, I've seen it many times and find it's still impressive. I like the non-CGI effects; they seem more immediate, far more eerie than computer effects, which couldn't make the shower scene as creepy.

The cast does a wonderful job, and it's not difficult to match up the child to the grownup; so, the casting director can be commended. Although the story differs or is lacking a number of scenes (some understandable), I think it flows quite well. In fact, it might be easier to follow than when reading the back-and-forth segments of the novel.

I do wish that some channel would have trotted it out for Halloween.

I still have the novel and have read it about five times. I've seen the miniseries twice and the clipped version at least four times. Yes, it's true that Tim Curry as Pennyworth is very much an inspired choice. The man is a remarkable actor and, to me, seems unappreciated or at least under-appreciated.

By the way, I think the spider-creature is a wonderful effect, much better than some of the CGI stuff I've been seeing. Computer images have become a shortcut, with very little imagination going into many of the creations. I would rather see these effects actually than much of what I'm seeing in today's films.

I've seen it. It was scary. I hated the ending, though. (I actually read the book, first, and hated it then, too.) I thought the ending seemed like Stephen King was suffering from writers block and scribbled off something in frustration. What's with the big spider/whale thing? And the little girl had to have sex with all her friends in order to defeat the monster? WTF?

I have seen that creepy movie!!

I own the movie. The book is way better, but the movie is pretty good.

yeah, watched it when I was little and got halfway through it before I realised we only had the first half on vhs. Not a good idea to stop halfway through that movie when your a kid. I couldn't get to sleep until very early for a solid week! Took me a year to stop jumping at random stuff. I finally watched the rest of it two years later and could calm down a bit.
My parents, being the sweet concerned people they are, thought it a great joke to get the damn thing on DVD for one of my birthdays. I could've killed them.

I saw the movie; however, Stephen King books are so scary when you read them, but the fear never translates or is apparent in the movies. A person's imagination cannot be accurately depicted on screen...just one gal's' opinion. In addition, how can Tim Curry (the actor who played the clown) be scary...LOL!

a few times i never did like clowns or big spiders.
