he just wanted a normal life.

He was trapped in a life that involved an overweight mother and a meantally challenged younger brother. In other words he had no life.

he was angry that his freaky mother and brother were a burden preventing him from getting good things in life, until his devotion to them was recognized by the right person, and it lead to getting good things in life.

The responsibliities of taking care of his mother,brother and sisters. He just wanted to be gilbert and not have to take car of anyone.
