Even though the book and the movie is sad, think of it this way: The actress, Annasophia Robb who plays Leslie, really didn't die. The book was made by an author, who's child's friend died. The author made the book for her child, to help him get through the rough times, and to show the child how much his friend did for him.
i did a bit but i thought she was going to come back
I cried when she died but felt happy when Jesse started building the bridge. Maybe if you think about that you will get over your sadness.
