Have yall' seen the movie SCARFACE??? some ppl say that its based on a true !

Question: The film is fiction, and is loosely based on the 1930's gangster movie of the same name that starred Paul Muni. "Scarface" was a name the FBI tried to hang on Alfonso Capone, but it didn't stick.

Brian DiPalma updated the prohibition from alchohol to cocaine, and changed the locations from Chicago to Miami, but Tony Montana wasn't based on anyone real.

Uh yes it is!

probably is. but it's also based on a 1932 movie called scarface with paul muni

yes it is awesome and based on a true story.

it's loosely based on that one guy from coliumbia who got killed by fbi or dea, i don't know this name, estaban or something

the only problem is i think estaban's death happend 10 years after the movie is made, so i'm not sure how it's possible

i'm not sure

It is an update of an old Movie from the 30's and is based on drug trade in the late 70's and 80's . . . but Tony was created by Oliver Stone. The Character is not real but the subject matter (to a degree) is . . .Stone hung out with real drug cartels to get a feel for the real Tony. The 1932 film is loosely based on the life of Al Capone.

It is based on the 1932 film by the same name, which was based (sort of) on Al Capone, whose nickname was Scarface. Of course the Pacino version isn't about Capone at all, so it is pretty much complete fiction.
