No lie. My ex co-worker and 2nd cousins live in Minnesota. They said 'yeah' a good deal like southerners say "ya'll" and it does make me think of Fargo when they do. Great,great movie by the way.
LOL - my mom-in-law lives in St. Paul and we visit there at least once a year - I personally have never noticed "yeah" being abused. Hope I put your mind at ease!
You mean "eh" after they say stuff???I have lived in Indiana all my life until recently,moved to Wisconsin.They say that alot after they say something,the more north you go the more you hear it.They say it is a Canadian thing? And they think I say funny things.....

yeah don't you know lol. I lived in MN for 13 years and had the strong accent but Yeah was not in my vocabulary alot like it is in Fargo. Now, "oh geez" was more my pace lol.
