Mid 90's movie?!
Question: Does anyone know this movie, I can only remember so much, but it had this pet shop and some weird owner who sold some pets to some kids but they were like odd animals like it looked like a rabbit but had bigger ears and was really fluffy. I also seem to rememeber (and i don't know if it was the same movie or a movie that came out around the same time) that some kids had some like pet dinorsaurs and they hatched and kept them hidden from people...my memory is sketchy about anything more. hehe, i also can't remember if it was a made for TV movie or one we rented.

...although the second half of your description is indeed "Prehysteria", as identified by one of my fellow question answerers above, the first half of the film synopsis, which you have offered, is...well, you kinda sorta answer your OWN question, in a way. The film you initially described, is the whimsical sci-fi/fantasy/comedy, culled from the folks over at the Full Moon camp, and entitled "Pet Shop"...

Summary:

I don't know if the petshop scene is in "Prehysteria!" or not since it's been a long time since I've seen it.

I can't find much about this movie, but if you visit the IMDB page and look at the box art, it sort of looks as if the child is holding an extra-fluffy animal.
Sounds like the movie "Gremlins" is what you're describing.
