I'm sure you meant Shawshank, however i think it is one of the most memorable films i have ever seen, as it tells a great story of triumph through adversity, it deals with relationships, and probably most importantly of all is Andy Dufrane is able to get the better of the establishment through perseverance, and everybody appears to get what they deserve, the main protaganist included. AND i think the casting director got the roles spot on. In the main one of those films one can watch again and again over those bank holiday periods.

not as good as Green Mile (also by Stephen King) but just as oscar worthy (sadely Green mile got robbed of its oscars by a loser movie.
I think it is a great film and acted very well. It is in my opinion better than the green mile and def. better then most of Stephen Kings movie adaptions!
Read the short story - it's even better in it's original written form ;)

I love it. Great acting, great storyline and a great cast.
Teaches us about the reality of life, sometimes things suck but nothing can get you down if you don't want it to.
It's a fantastic films, the performances and story line are great and is resonates such emotion. As well as this, the twist at the end is one of the cleverest and most famous of all time in cinema.
