there are so many factors that can range in when a DVD is released. Everyone who says how well the movie did are true because if the movie did well they may not release it until 6 months later because they know it will still get lots of sales. Also if the movie did well they can release it quickly after theatrical release just like Transformers which was released 3 months ago and will be out at the end of the month.
Also the movies that do horribly at the box office can turn up on dvd in a month at worst. A few years ago when Ben Affleck was in that Christmas movie "Surviving Christmas" that did horribly and it was at Blockbuster the next month.
About 3 months after it leaves the theater.
It's like around 4-5 months I think.
to me it depends on how big of a hit the movie was...like sum take a year and sum take a couple months...and sum not even a couple months!! :)

really depends on how well the movie did in theaters. transformers came out after sp3, and the dvd came out before sp3 will. i give a good movie a good 4-5 months. an average movie will take about 3 months. REE will take about 3 months.
