A new Clone Wars? Why?!

Question: I was a little sceptical about a Clone Wars animated series, but I think Kevin Smith did a pretty good job. I think re-doing the Clone Wars is a smart as Han shooting first? Feel free to star these questions!

Han did shoot first no matter what kind of "morality" spin Lucas wants to put on it. Think about it ... somebody's holding a gun on you but is too stupid to actually watch what you're doing ... Greedo got what he deserved. A little known fact is that Greedo had a contract out on him and his whole family ... some kind of betrayal the family had done on their home planet. The "friends" that told Greedo where Han was did it for one reason and one reason only ... they knew if Greedo were stupid enough challenge Han Solo he would lose. He did, got wasted for his troubles and his "friends" collected the bounty on Greedo. Just got to love the story within the story within the story ... etc. Star Wars is full of them. Anyways, "A new Clone Wars"? ... I haven't heard anything about them "re-doing" any of the animated series that covered that time and I can't imagine why they would. I do see them taking the story ahead with animated series but to redo one that is already done ... not going to happen. The thing most fans, who don't get into the books really heavy, don't know is that over the years the Star Wars saga has grown to cover almost 6000 years of history. By its very nature the "time-line" is a loose one but they try very hard to keep in-continuities out of the story and mostly they do a good job of it. There has been talk of both more animated series coming out as well as a live action TV series. They will be able to plug these into the timeline wherever there are "holes" or Lucas thinks more info is needed. The problem with these series is pretty obvious ... the "Big 3" of Luke, Leia, & Han can't be in them ... they could be mentioned but to put a major story around them would be playing with fire where the saga timeline is concerned. Personally I'd love to see them do one of these things about Rogue Squadron. There are books about their exploits but there is some much more that could be told. The only "movie character" to worry about would be Wedge and I honestly don't think people would be up in arms saying "That's not Wedge" if somebody other than Denis Lawson was to play it.

Anyways, they are not going to re-do the Clone Wars toons ... they are going to do more that will add more info to what we have now.

Why to a new clone wars? Simple. Money.

and your point is?
