Does anyone else thing that they shouldn't show previews to horror movies un!

Question: I have a 6 year old and some of the commercials they show for horror movies are pretty graphic! Don't get me wrong...I am a HUGE Horror movie fan! Can't wait til Saw 4 comes out next week, but these things being previewed during the day can't be good right? I mean that new one with the vampires has really freaked my kid out. Whatcha think?!?

yes i think that too, i have a 9 year old with night terrors, and when he happens to see the commercials they get worse, until he can get that out of his head, which can sometimes take weeks, i love horror movies too, and saw 4 looks awesome!!! its horrible to be awoke by my sons blood curdling scream because of something he saw while watching children's TV shows, and its worse because he sleep walks too and my girls see those commercials and don't want to go to bed in their bed because of the stuff they seen on TV, they should really put a time restriction on them, like after 9 would be OK, my kids are almost always in bed by 9 if not they aren't watching TV.....so i completely agree with you!!!!!!

Agreed.

Get a Tivo, you won't regret it.

I assume you're talking about TV, not previews in the theater.

I'm a huge believer in free speech, but is would be a good idea to only show previews to horror movies on channels that cater to older people. CNN, HGTV, BRAVO are channels that no 6-year-old is interested in but a majority of adults watch at some point. That's also just good budgeting for the movie producers' execs, as well.

I Agree. =)
Some of these commercials can be very frightening to younger children. (Even some of them freak "me" out, and im 13) >__>;;
They should be played after 9:00 or 10:00 on weekdays..and maybe even much later on weekends...(when little kids should be asleep) ^^

Not just Horror movies though..i think that movies that are explicit in some way(rated "R"), should be played later too. ;3

I don't. And for a LOT of reasons. Take yourself- for example. How old were YOU -when you started loving scary movies? Did your Parents protect you from them (& if they DID- didn't you find a way to watch them- anyway?)? Kids are NEVER too young to be TAUGHT that what they see on TV or in the Movies isn't real- & that it's ok to be scared, and to turn the TV OFF if they see something they can't handle. Empower your Son to make those Choices BEST for HIM... -Don't expect the World to do it for You.... :)

Yes, airing horror commercials during children's "tv hours" is wrong, and too graphic. Even worse is if the film is "torture porn."
