In the new Resident Evil movie, what happened to Valentine and the little girl?!

It is upsetting that they don't include what happens to other characters in previous movies...since they don't tell you in the movie, they do tell you in the novel that is based on the movie.
Jill Valentine ends up separating from the convoy that has Claire and Carlos, and goes off on her own, thinking that she shouldn't be with others because people end up getting hurt that way. So, she visits a settlement of people somewhere, and ends up hooking up with them, protecting them from people who are taking advantage of the situation (like you see w/ Alice in the beginning of the movie)
As for Angela Ashford, she's killed by Alice. Let me explain how that happens. Angie ends up with Claire's convoy, and during a zombie-kill-athon, Dr. Isaacs gives the order to bring Alice in (this is to the Detroit facility). So, the satellite that controls Alice activates, and so Alice doesn't have any free will at this point, so she gets in a truck and heads to Detroit, not realizing that Angie is also in the car as well.
Once she gets to the facility, Dr. Isaacs tells Alice that they don't need her, pointing to the little girl in the back, and at that point commands Alice to shoot her. Alice, obviously doesn't want to, but because she's not in control of her actions, ends up shooting her, and it haunts her throughout the novel.
I'm not sure if you noticed it in the movie or not, but you hear somebody say that Dr. Isaacs lost Alice at the Detroit facility. When Alice was there she reprogrammed the satellites to not track her, not influence her, and she stays hidden from them as much as possible.
